A transactional email API with two sending modes.
SendFleet is one REST endpoint for transactional email. You can send through your own AWS SES account and keep your message content out of our systems, or send through infrastructure we operate. The endpoint, the request body and the response are identical either way.
What SendFleet does
One endpoint accepts a message and returns as soon as the message is accepted for delivery. There is no SDK and no client library to install.
POST /api/send/sends a message. One recipient per request. At least one ofmessage, htmlorattachmentsis required.GET /api/me/returns your plan, your verified domains and your current month usage.- Every request carries an API key in the
X-API-Keyheader. - The rate limit is 60 requests per minute per key, on every plan.
- Delivery is asynchronous. The response acknowledges the send; the outcome arrives later, and you can receive it as a signed webhook.
The full request and response contract, including every field name and every error code, is on the Send Email.
BYOC and Shared SES
The two modes differ in where the email is sent from and what SendFleet stores. They do not differ in how you call the API.
You create an IAM role in your account and let SendFleet assume it for sending. Your sending reputation and your AWS SES limits are yours. Recipients, subjects and bodies are never written to our systems. You need an AWS account with SES out of the sandbox.
No AWS account and no IAM setup. Your sending domain is verified with us, and you get a 14-day email log in the dashboard, delivery webhooks, and automatic bounce and complaint handling on a shared sending pool.
A domain belongs to the mode it was registered in. Moving between modes means adding a domain in the target mode and retiring the old one; the API does not change. The BYOC Setup covers the IAM role, the trust policy and the ExternalId condition.
Plans and limits
Five plans. Two are BYOC plans and three run on Shared SES.
| Plan | Price | Monthly emails | Sending path |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free BYOC | $0 | 50 | Your AWS SES account |
| BYOC | $9 per month | No SendFleet limit | Your AWS SES account |
| Managed Starter | $5 per month | 5,000 | Shared SES |
| Managed Growth | $15 per month | 25,000 | Shared SES |
| Managed Pro | $59 per month | 100,000 | Shared SES |
On BYOC, your own AWS SES sending limits apply and SendFleet does not cap your monthly volume. The full comparison, and every platform limit, is on the Pricing and on Plans and Limits.
